Praying daily is essential to the faith life of any Catholic. Prayer is our life line to our God. Through prayer we are united to our Creator. Prayer is not something unattainable or hard. In its simplest form, prayer is a conversation with God. A conversation includes speaking and listening. It must however start with us answering Our Lord's call. You see He is calling us to prayer, It is up to us to respond. When we do, we begin a dialogue with our God. There are so many ways to pray, from a simple Our Father or Hail Mary to reading and meditating on the daily Scriptures. We pray when we go to Mass, participate in the Liturgy of the Hours, and participate in Praise and Worship. We pray participating in the Stations of the Cross, praying the Rosary, praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and participating in Novenas. We pray when we spend time in Adoration. There are so many different ways to pray and we can choose what best meets our needs. We are called to pray in good times or bad. Prayer helps us keep united with God. Lastly, prayer helps us discern God's will for our lives so that we can live the most blessed life possible.
Rejoice always, Pray without ceasing, in all circumstances give thanks for this is the will of God in Jesus Christ for you.
