Praying daily is essential to the faith life of any Catholic. Prayer is our life line to our God. Through prayer we are united to our Creator. Prayer is not something unattainable or hard, in it's simplest form, prayer is a conversation with God. Now this means we not only have to talk but listen. It must however start with us answering Our Lord's call. You see He is calling us to prayer, but it is up to us to respond. When we do, we begin a dialogue with our God but one that cannot be one sided in us talking, we must take time to listen. There are so many ways to pray from a simple Our Father or Hail Mary, to reading and meditating over the daily Scriptures, to Mass, to participating in the Liturgy of the Hours, Praise and Worship, Stations of the Cross, the Rosary, Chaplet of Divine Mercy, Litany's, Novenas, and Adoration. We all have our likes and dislikes and we can choose which way best suits who we are in our prayer life. We are called to constantly pray, whether things are going good or horrible, we should always acknowledge our God and keep in relationship with Him. We cannot do it on our own, we need His help and through prayer we can better understand God's Will for our live.
To the left you will find a few resources on prayer and if you have some good one's pass them along so I may add them to the list.
Rejoice always, Pray without ceasing, in all circumstances give thanks for this is the will of God in Jesus Christ for you.
